The history of the company goes back to 1882 when the first board mill was established. The first product was white single-mould board. The following years are characterized by an increase in production and enlargement of premises. The launching of brown cardboard and heavy ordinary cardboard boxes production was an important turning point. In 1971 the first automatic single-cylinder board machine was installed, in 1989 the second cardboard machine was put into operation replacing four manual cardboard machines.

A substantial strategic step of the company was the development and implementation of archive system production that assures completely the archiving of all documents. At present, the company expands its supply with office and school appliances, exceptional particularly thanks to the material LUXOR used in their production.

In 1998 EMBA s.r.o., limited liability company, received the ISO certificate of quality management. In 2003 it was re-certificated to ISO 9001:2000 system that provides clear information about the management security level and the level of quality in the company. The quality and standard of products have been concurrently awarded with a number of national and international prizes, as e.g. Package of the Year and Worldstar. In 2003 we obtained the right to use the trademark "Environment friendly product" on solid fibreboard made of waste paper (over 225 g/m2) and the products made of it for archive systems, boxes and folders.
